FMA levies changed from 1 July 2021

New FMA levies come into force on 1 July 2021

FMA levies on the Financial Service Providers Register (FSPR) changed from 1 July, and this affects the total fees you’ll need to pay.

Updated schedule of fees and levies

The change is part of the government’s plan to increase the FMA’s budget to help it fulfil its responsibilities as the financial markets regulator. Levies will increase progressively over a 3-year period between 2020 and 2022. This year’s increase was the second round of FMA levy changes.

Further information about the levy changes can be found on the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) website.
