FMA seminars on transitional licensing

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) will be hosting a series of seminars in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, that will discuss transitional licensing.

The Government recently passed the Financial Services Legislation Amendment Act 2019, which means big changes are coming next year.

Under the new regime, advice can only be provided by, or on behalf of, a financial advice provider licensed by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA), and applications for transitional licensing will open on 4 November 2019.

To help the industry ready itself, the FMA will be hosting a series of seminars in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, that will discuss transitional licensing.

These seminars are starting on the 27th of August and will offer an opportunity to meet key representatives from the FMA.

If you are interested in attending, please RSVP now.
